Job Description

Balfour Beatty currently have opportunities for Installation Plumbing Operatives to join our BB Kilpatrick team based in Helensburgh, Glasgow.

 

In this varied and interesting role you will be responsible for carrying out building services plumbing installation work on a new build commercial property.

Successful candidates MUST have a CSCS card and Disclosure Scotland, DBS or ANI and the ability to pass security checks. This may take in excess of 4-6 weeks to complete.

Candidates that already have defense clearance would be highly desirable.

What you'll be doing

As an Installation Plumbing Operative, you will be responsible for:

  • Safe and efficient installation and testing
  • Working safely and in line with risk assessment and briefings
  • Bringing to the attention of the Supervisor/Engineer any technical, construction or safety problems and actively take part in working to resolve

Who we're looking for

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have a valid SNIJIB/Skill Card (Tech Plumber, Adv Plumber, Plumber Grades)

  • Completed a recognised apprenticeship and obtained an NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing.

  • Have previous security clearance/the ability to pass SC Clearance

  • Working knowledge of - Building Services Installation Works, Health & Safety at Work Act 1974, Construction Lifting Operations) Regulations 1961, (Head Protection) Regulations 1989, Management of Health & Safety at Work Regulations 1992, Personal Protective Equipment at Work Regulations 1992, Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations 1994, Construction(Design & Management) Regulations 1994
